Here's a sweet and simple ojas-building complement to any meal.
I love dates because they are sweet and remind me of the sweetness of life. I’m currently hosting a series of Ayurveda and Yoga workshops in Australia, and as I travel I always have a bag of dates with me. They’re easy to carry and they support the development of ojas faster than most any other food.
Travel can take its toll on the body, and so contributing to the body’s reserve of ojas is key in order to maintain immunity and vitality.
Eating dates by themselves or with hot milk is very enjoyable, but they also combine well with most other foods. Dates make a great chutney that’s easy to whip up. I especially like this chutney alongside stovetop bread another simple recipe that’s good for the road.
