UNTIL I DISCOVERED
... that food is the key to my wellness. And with the right insights, preparing food is both simple and joyful. ... I am now on a mission to guide others…
Have you ever felt like you’re in attack mode with life? Like you’re going to take life by the horns, wrestle it to the ground and MAKE everything happen the way you want it to?
That’s how I did life for a while. It was tough going with my health but I pushed through, as one does, and started to have all the outer trappings of success.
But my health was a constant struggle despite trying everything I could find to try. I was miserable. And then I was given an 'incurable' diagnosis.
By grace, my yoga teacher opened a window of hope for me when she told me 'You are meant to feel well in life'. From there things turned around, and by learning the true and time-tested natural secrets of Ayurveda, my body and mind became my friends and allies in what has been a joyful journey.

Frequently asked questions
The course is composed of 3 hours of instructional video content plus the time you spend cooking your meals (which you’re probably doing anyway!).
Our recipes typically incorporate ghee, but you can substitute other high qualities oils like coconut, olive and sesame, depending on your dosha.
Yes you’ll get access to the Simple Ayurvedic Cooking community ongoing PLUS access to our very own social network Hale Pule Sangha.
No, this program runs in Mighty Networks; a safe and private platform where you can still enjoy all the benefits of connecting with your peers.
We recommend using a pressure cooker for legumes to reduce cooking time, but it’s not necessary. You can use a simple pot with a lid instead.
We will supply you with a simple shopping list of ingredients that are easily sourced locally. The list will include:
- Fresh fruit and vegetables
- Fresh spices (not older than 6 months)
- White rice (basmati, jasmine, etc)
- Mung beans
If there is something not available; we will recommend a suitable alternative.
If possible, we recommend that you purchase organic ingredients, locally-sourced whenever possible. Avoiding chemicals and eating in-season will maximise the prana in your meals and help you to feel your best.
Ayurvedic cooking is often presented in a complex way, with lots of food lists according to dosha plus dos and don’ts.
We find that this is unnecessarily restrictive and not particularly helpful because people tend to become attached to what they can and can’t eat. It can change based on the season and the individual’s condition.
Hale Pule’s approach is to offer a simple framework for creating sattvic meals that balance all doshas. Our approach is flexible, eliminates confusion, and allows for great creativity and satisfaction.
Absolutely. Cooking with Ayurveda will support the health and wellbeing of your entire family - kids included!. Each recipe given in the program is tridoshic - meaning that the food is prepared in a way that supports all types of constitutions.
Yes :)
You will have ongoing access to all of the content through our online platform. This way you can revisit the cooking lessons and fine-tune your skills anytime.
The more the merrier! By all means, share this program with others in your life who are interested in healing themselves naturally with a nourishing and delicious diet.
