About Kay

Community Moderator & Ayurveda Health Counselor for Hale Pule
Favorite asana: Sirsasana
Based in: Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada

Kay has a rich and eclectic history in the healing arts and health education. Her career has spanned mainstream health care, academia and alternative therapies for more than 30 years. She started out as a nurse, working mostly in accident and emergency, but found the medical model extremely frustrating because it did not address the root causes of illness and dis-ease. She began a life-long quest to understand health and healing.

This journey has included gaining qualifications in homeopathy, CBT, eating disorder therapy, ADHD, NLP, a Masters Degree in Healing Sciences, permaculture, mindfulness, Yoga and finally Ayurveda. Ayurveda has been like coming home. It has helped her to reconnect with long lost parts of herself and finally to find the path that she was looking for. She feels eternally and increasingly grateful to study with Myra and receive pure and unadulterated Ayurvedic wisdom teachings.

Kay offers clarity calls to prospective students and engages with the community in the online Sangha and our client programs. She helps behind the scenes with content creation and special events.  Most recently, Kay is now stepping into the role of Ayurveda Health Counselor, offering consultations to students and clients.
