I have officially been part of the Hale Pule team since 2020.

What inspires me:
- Guiding people to broaden their perspectives. Reminding them who they are beyond symptoms and attachments. Remembering themselves as energy, nature and wholeness.
- Being part of a School and mission which emphasizes living and applying Ayurveda & Yoga principles as opposed to textbook information.
- Knowing we can each contribute to a healthier, peaceful world by taking care of our agni. Imagine if everyone did this - what kind of a world it would be?
- Ayurveda and Yoga teachings are for everyone, whatever stage of life, culture or location.
- Remembering that the choices today are what matter most.

My journey:
The call to teach and work as a healer was with me from early on, although I resisted it at times.
Growing up as the only girl in a business-focused family influenced my choices in early adult life. I moved away from what felt natural – art, creativity, teaching, nature and pursued a commercial career in law and later recruitment.
A consistent Yoga practice started in 2003 because it helped me with sleep. After meeting an Ayurveda vaidya during a visit to Kerala, south India in 2006 I began making small changes to support agni and dosha balance. Something about Ayurveda and Yoga resonated and I knew I wanted to learn more.

I trained on weekends as a Yoga teacher and later a bodywork and energy practitioner. I continued to self- study Ayurveda.

In 2011, I began annual visits to India to undergo Ayurveda treatments, including panchkarma. I learned from Vaidyas through informal gurukula teaching. Later, I guided private groups of students through Ayurveda treatments in India.

Whilst on an annual visit to India in 2015, I met Myra and so the Hale Pule journey began. I completed the Ayurveda Health Counsellor training and had two visits to the Hale Pule farm in 2018 which was then on Kaua’i.

Hale Pule felt like coming home. The visits were profound for me.
Up to 2020, I had a private client Yoga & Ayurveda practice, taught classes and workshops in London studios and guided retreats in the UK, Europe, India and the Middle East. I also regularly taught at Yoga teacher trainings in the UK and Europe. When lockdown came and Myra reached out, it felt natural and right to be of service to Hale Pule’s mission. Through this I have continued to learn and grow in ways I did not imagine.

Today, I live happily in the Kent countryside with my husband. I delight in nature, spending time with animals - including my seven nieces and nephews! I also enjoy making things, rituals, cooking and more recently singing and shamanic drumming.
India remains a pilgrimage place in my heart. I am a continual student of Ayurveda, Yoga, Sanskrit and Vedanta. They are like old friends walking with me through life and I receive great comfort and joy by being with them. They guide me back to truth, love and freedom. A deep bow of gratitude to all teachers who have shared with me so far.
