Study Ayurvedic healing
True health comes from a balanced body, mind and spirit. Ayurvedic treatments, using the power of touch, oils and herbs, have been used for centuries to support individuals to reach true health.
Hale Pule's 75-hour Ayurvedic treatment training will prepare you to utilise these time-proven techniques to remove toxins, relieve stress and balance doshas. This training will prepare you to work with clients in any setting, whether it is a retreat centre, Ayurvedic physician’s office or in your personal practice.
In this 75-hour certification program, you'll review basic concepts of Ayurveda including the doshas, prana, agni, dhatus, maha gunas and more, and how to incorporate these principles into Ayurvedic treatments. You’ll learn:
- How to conduct healing Ayurvedic treatments, including snehan (oil application), basti (herbal oil baths for localized treatment), hasta (hands) and pada (feet) basti (soothing flow of warm oil over hands or feet), marma point therapy, mardavam (full body oil treatment to remove toxins) and demonstrations in bashpa swedana (herbal steam bath) and shirodhara.
- The transformational power of these techniques as you give and receive each of the Ayurvedic treatments you will learn.
- How Ayurvedic treatments balance each of the doshas and rebuild the body’s natural ability to heal.
- Tools to create a supportive healing environment by managing your own energy and building a personal spiritual practice. These tools will allow you to advance in effectiveness as an Ayurvedic treatment technician and a human being.
- To understand how the maha gunas (sattva, rajas and tamas) appear in all areas of life, and ways to use them to support a deeper level of healing.
- The functions of the doshas, signs of balance and imbalance and ways to bring harmony through Ayurvedic treatments and other therapies. (To learn this on a much deeper level to complement the Ayurvedic treatment training, enroll in our Ayurvedic health counselor program.)
- The properties of commonly used Ayurvedic herbs and oils, and how to choose the appropriate oil for a treatment.
- How to prepare therapeutic oils using herbs and essential oils.
- Case studies, sample treatment programs and common client situations that you may encounter.
- How to support your clients to receive the greatest healing possible by preparing before, during and after Ayurvedic treatments.
- How to incorporate these techniques into your existing practice or build a practice at a retreat center or with clients undergoing panchakarma through Hale Pule or another Ayurvedic practitioner or physician.
If you are inspired to help people find health, balance and vitality, this training will add a unique set of tools to your existing practice or allow you to start on a new path.
