About Jordann

Acharya & Student Support
Constitution: Vata-Pitta
Favourite asana: I am a lover of all heart-opening asanas. They support me in maintaining a strong back so I can hold my center, stay rooted and remain stable in the face of suffering or challenge. At the same time I open my heart to live with openness, vulnerability, emotional receptivity, and compassion allowing me to feel and be moved without shutting down or becoming hardened.
Based in: British Columbia, Canada
I’m Jordann Kian, a counselor of Ayurved, psychotherapist, Yoga teacher and acharya with Hale Pule. I’ve been an avid student of Yoga and Ayurveda for over a decade. In my pre-Ayurveda days, I struggled with disordered eating, hormone imbalance, anxiety, depression and addiction. In 2022, I made huge strides with my health thanks to my studies with Hale Pule and the Agni Therapy program. I’ve felt truly nourished and enthusiastic about life ever since!
Yoga and Ayurveda have been soft pillows for me. The practices continue to provide comfort and ease most days., I also have formal training in marma therapy, Ayurvedic body treatments, and the Ayurvedic Living Internship with Banyan Farm. Studying and more importantly living Ayurveda have been instrumental to my healing.
I love using the medicines and magic from these ancient traditions to provide heart-centred guidance and support by offering Yoga classes, cooking workshops and trauma therapy in my local community. Together, these experiences and educational opportunities have transformed my life, and I am deeply grateful to my teachers for helping me become a vibrant and joyful creature.
I currently run a small private practice using body-focused psychotherapy, Ayurveda, and Yoga to support my clients in fun and creative ways.
Based in British Columbia, I find joy in nature, cooking nourishing meals, hiking, foraging, and creative pursuits like painting and writing. My mission is to empower others to live healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives, creating a ripple effect of compassion and connection in the world. As part of the Hale Pule team, I feel honored to guide students on their journey to wholeness, helping them rediscover their eternal spirit and live in harmony with nature’s wisdom.
