We each bring into the New Year some level of rajas and tamas as well as sattva. The most important aspect of setting ourselves up to cultivate more of sattva for a balanced, harmonious New Year is to be realistic with ourselves. If we have a history of dietary or lifestyle choices that are rajasic or tamasic in nature then we can choose smaller goals that we can meet which promote positive results.
